Connecting people to a caring community on a common journey

Do you ever feel alone on your journey with Jesus? Let us be there for you!

One of the ways M3 is seeking to do its part to help the next generation of churches be more like Jesus is by helping people connect with a caring community on a common journey.

All over the world, people are beginning to get a glimpse of a more beautiful kingdom centered around the good news (gospel) that “Jesus is Lord.” They are discovering a more “Water-to-Wine-like” Christianity. And once they have “tasted and seen” the good stuff, they want more!

This journey with Jesus is a road that is meant to be traveled in community. But what do you do when there is no community around you – or even worse, when the community that is designed to help ends up being the source of hurt and pain?

Unfortunately, this is the story of too many people…

Our heart for this ministry was forged through the fire of our own pastoral experience. It was sparked specifically through a personal conversation we had with Brian Zahnd, pastor of Word of Life Church in St. Joseph Missouri. He shared that he receives on average five contacts a week – a week! – from people all over the world – many of whom are pastors and church leaders – who are looking to share their story with him. Often these stories are filled with pain and heartache as they seek to be faithful to Christ and His kingdom. One of the things they often share is that they feel all alone in their journey. This deeply resonated with us – and it was a large part of the vision the Lord gave us that compelled us to move our family from Los Angeles to the Midwest to be a part of Word of Life Church and start M3 Ministries.

We are devoted to helping you connect to a caring community of people who are on a similar journey. One of the ways we do this is through our Water to Wine Facebook Group, which is now over 1000 people and growing. We have also committed ourselves to being a resource and a relationship for you who are on the journey with Jesus, with a particular emphasis on you who are pastors and church leaders. After more than two decades of pastoral ministry, we know how essential it is to have a community come around you when the going gets rough. Our desire is to be there for you, to walk alongside of you, and to help you in whatever way we can.

Are you on a journey toward a more authentic expression of Christ and His church?

Have you sought to lead your community into a greater faithfulness to Christ and His kingdom, only to experience hardships and hurt?

Do you often feel like you are on an island with no one to talk to about this journey?

We’ve been there. We know what you’re going through.

You don’t have to “go it alone.”

Let us walk with you.

If you ever need someone to talk to…

If you ever need a sounding board to talk things out…

If you ever need a friend to pray for you…

If you ever need resources for the journey…

If you ever need guidance or direction…

If you ever need someone who cares…

If we can ever be there for you…

Then feel free to Contact us.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Through ENGAGEMENT

What would it look like if local churches worked together in their communities?

We started M3 Ministries to help the church BE the church.

And one of the ways we are seeking to strengthen the church is through community ENGAGEMENT.

Specifically, our vision is to help local churches partner together to actively and effectively impact their communities for Christ.

For the church to BE everything Christ designed for it to be, it must be making a difference in the world. We believe local churches are to be the visible presence of Christ to the people around it, a picture of Christ’s kingdom “on earth as it is in heaven.”

In our years in pastoral ministry, we have found that a lot of churches are doing really good things – and are truly making a difference in the lives of people – but often they are not working together to multiply the impact they could have on their community and culture. Our desire is to see churches and other organizations work together in strategic partnerships – specifically in the cities and communities in which they live – in order to truly engage and serve the people around them.

A pastor friend of ours tells a story that illustrates the need for these partnerships. He shared the story of a large church that formed a massive outreach program for its community. On the day they launched the ministry, they found out that the church across the parking lot had already been doing a similar ministry for a long period of time. Think of all the time, energy, and resources that could have been saved and redistributed if only they were working together!

M3 Ministries is in the process of developing a platform to help local churches form partnerships for community engagement and service. Our vision is to have a paradigm for churches that involves listening to and learning the culture around them, building relationships in the community, and forming teams to minister to the needs of the people around them.

This ministry is a work in progress. Follow us on our website, Facebook, and/or Twitter to stay up-to-speed with how things are developing.
